Winetopia has this week been shortlisted as a Finalist in the “Best Lifestyle Event 2023” category in the NZEA New Zealand Event Awards.
“The number of entries in this year’s Awards was the highest ever, so the competition was incredibly fierce. Our judges had a challenge to evaluate a cohort of such high-quality entries, so to be named a finalist is a significant achievement and worthy of celebration.” - NZEA
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to Winetopia to date, we couldn’t have done it without you. Our Winetopia team at Lemongrass Productions work hard to create a celebration and promotion worthy of the New Zealand wine scene and we are grateful for the recognition.
You can bet we are already working with our partners designing an even better event for next year!
Some highlights of the 2023 Winetopia Events:
We hosted 18 masterclasses covering everything from “Taking on Burgundy” by Sommelier Jeremy Ellis to Serious Syrahs with Bob Capmbell MW.
We settled into a new Auckland venue, the event taking place during the Elemental AKL Festival.
In Wellington we welcomed esteemed Australian wine writer and presenter Mike Bennie back to provide some hard commentary and his perspective on some of the top New Zealand wine producers.
We were entertained in more ways than one…
We explored incredible Pinot Noir,
Sauvignon Blanc,
And what ever this was...
We smoothed it all down with some epic eats
We stocked up on outstanding wines.
And we agreed to all come back and do it all again!
