Bringing his bold yet charming personality, with a touch of comic to the stages of Winetopia, we’re excited to welcome Ben Hurley to Winetopia Wellington and Christchurch! Ben will be hosting the Main Stage – you’ll find him fraternising with wine makers, interviewing famous faces and generally keeping the Main Stage and Winetopia a great place to be.
After winning the legendary Billy T Award in 2004 (amidst many others), Ben set off to hone his craft on the notoriously competitive comedy circuit in the UK. Following three years of gigs, six nights a week, and often multiple shows in a night – Ben returned home to New Zealand as a highly experienced performer.
He has conquered the toughest of crowds and reviewers alike and his shows are highly-anticipated and they often sell out! Ben is widely recognised from his regular TV appearances on THREE’s ‘7Days’ and ‘The Project’. You’ll also catch him at Comedy Galas and he has even hosted the NZ Music Awards. At present, Ben is the roving reporter for TVNZ’s ‘Seven Sharp’.
